About Us

Mission Mountain Empowerment(MME) is a private, non-profit organization located in Lake County, Montana.

MME is a private, non-profit corporation in Lake County, Montana, established in 1975 to provide high quality, community-based services to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Central to our mission is the belief people with intellectual disabilities deserve every opportunity to lead full, independent lives in the community of their choosing.

At MME, we offer residential services, day activities and outings, vocational services, a supported living program, and transportation services. These services are profoundly empowering for people with intellectual disabilities, many of whom are moving away from institutional living and into community living. It may be the first time they have had a private bedroom to call their own, a voice in their personal surroundings, a paying job, time to themselves, or the independence to simply walk to the store.

Our organization has played an integral role in building healthier, more inclusive neighborhoods here in Lake County. We appreciate the continued support from our local community! Please consider donating to our cause or volunteering with us!
